Many schools work hard to promote learning and well-being for all of their students. The COVID-19 crisis puts extra pressure on this: students seem to be more at risk for learning delays and mental health problems.
Research shows us that strong collaboration among teachers, students and leadership teams is an important way to tackle these challenges. The aim of this project is to create knowledge of how to make these collaboration processes more transparent and effective to make sure that everyone’s voice is heard, also the voices of the students themselves.
To support these collaboration processes we intend to use a specific approach – communities of practice – in which all actors at a school are included in school development with a specific goal, based on the specific needs of the school. Four countries collaborate in this process: Belgium, Sweden, Austria and Slovakia.
