One of the main industrial challenges that the GREENERING project will target is the adoption of sustainable technologies and the scaling up of processes from an approach mainly focused on the performance towards a global comprehensive approach of the production process. To achieve this, the GREENERING consortium will gather experts from academia, industry and technology transfer institutions and including social sciences and humanities with the aim to: i) create a network with common interests; ii) create working groups to influence decision makers and stakeholders in adopting sustainable processes; iii) create competitive consortiums able to apply to H2020 competitive calls and iv) increase the entrepreneurial mindset of researchers and particularly young researchers who with their youth and wilful energy will be able to transpose technology into products.

• Objective of this COST Action is to promote and boost the industrial application of green chemistry and sustainable technologies, developing the tools for the scale-up and implementation of emerging processes into industry, thus bridging the gap between academia and industry. This can only be successfully achieved through the connection of working groups in emergent areas such as: i) best use of raw materials; ii) use of clean solvents; iii) efficient use of energy and iv) production of minimal amount of waste.
